- MarkShnier__You5 years agoQrew LegendIf users have permission to create records then they will see the option to copy this record. However each individual field has a checkbox in its Field Properties as to whether that particular field should be copied when you use this method of copying our record.
Copy the value when using "Copy this Record" to add a new Record
So the solution really is to go through all the fields that you do not want copied and uncheck that box. That way the users can copy the record but in essence all they will end up with is an ADD record form with one none of the fields pre-filled in.
So if you have a form with say 20 data entry fields it's pretty quick to right click on each field name and just edit that field property on each field one by one. If you have a form with 500 fields well then it's going to take a bit longer!
