Grid Edit and Search & Replace at Report Level

Question

Hello!
This is a two-part question:
1. I have a legacy form with an embedded report where my stores can click on grid edit and make their updates. After a calculated cutoff date, I don't want them to be able to edit anymore.

I've added a section to appear after the cutoff date (and hide the editable section) with a report that is meant to be view only, but the report still offers the grid edit option.&nbsp;
I know that grid edit ability is role based, but is there a way to cut it off at the report level? I can't shut it off at the role level, as some stores will have a later cutoff date and still need to grid edit.&nbsp;

2. Is there a way to separate grid edit from search and replace in a report?

I want my stores to be able to grid edit, but not to search and replace.

Any other creative solutions are welcomed and appreciated!

If you set a Permission Rule, then records which are set to be non editable by that permission rule should work (ie be non editable) even in grid edit. Did you try that? Or is it just certain fields that you don't want to be editable under some conditions.
