Do you want to start a local QB builder community?
When I was a customer of Quick Base, one of the things I loved most was watching my colleagues' "light bulbs" go on, so to speak. That time when you're talking through a process with somebody, and you realize that the reason their process is so broken isbecause ofthe technology that was available (or not available), and that with Quick Base they can build what is necessary to fit the best process. Or that moment someone learns the power of a database for the first time because they finally understand it. Or when a person no longer hates their job because they killed that spreadsheet-turned-ERPmonster. Now, as a Quick Base employee, my role and work is quite different. I participate in and lead a lot more conversations about Quick Base with prospective customers, brand new users, and veteran builders. What hasn't changed is my favorite part - those light bulbs. Since our customers span the globe, most of these conversations are video chat, phone, or email. However, when we can make it happen, we always find that face to face conversations have a higher chance of those light bulbs turning on. One example of this is our local builder group we started a little while back in Portland, OR. Builders from around town get together, have a drink or snack, and chat about their recent discoveries, challenges, and wins. I can't tell you how rewarding this has been. A room of light bulbs who genuinely enjoy each other's company, centered around a single mantra: getting the work done effectively. Are you a veteran builder? Are you new to Quick Base and you "get it" and want to do more? Do you want to network and find out how many others in your area are developing cool apps with Quick Base? If you're interested in starting a builder community in your area, reach out to me. I'd love to help you get started. Team, Hope all is well! Just thought I'd say hello (still a fairly recent join to the Quick Base family) - friendly reminder of next week's PDX User Group! Even in the time span that I've been a part of QB, it's quite apparent that our Portland Quick Base community is continuing to grow (and rapidly); always a great opportunity to network & collaborate on platform builds/developments! Hope to see you there! ------------------------------ Kory Hoppes ------------------------------8Views4likes0CommentsQuickBase User Group - India
I would request QuickBase to setup User group for India. Indian market has huge potential for QuickBase and they should start getting their foot prints here. I have been working on QuickBase for last 5 years and trying to identify Quickbase talent in the Indian Market. May be this user group will help connect Indian Quickbase community. Additionally, Quickbase should start setting up conferences in India to showcase its product capabilities. I will be happy to participate across. Great discussion today everybody - thank you! As we talked about, it's often hard to knowwhento break an app into more than one or many apps. Harrison wrote a great post about this: https://community.quickbase.com/browse/blogs/blogviewer?BlogKey=4d3963dc-2d01-490a-b8b7-b94a4a2bb491&CommunityKey=d860b0f8-6a48-487b-b346-44c47a19a804&tab=blogviewer Thank you @Lee Gilmorefor starting off thisconversation and lending us your expertise! ------------------------------ Jacob MacIntyre Manager Quick Base Portland OR ------------------------------8Views3likes0CommentsNovember
Tanya and the team put on a great event in Detroit. There was a healthy turn out of users and personnel from Boston to answer questions and show how the platform is evolving. Make sure you sign up for the next one. ------------------------------ Don Larson Paasporter Westlake OH ------------------------------2Views2likes0CommentsThanks for a successful 2nd Detroit User Group!
Thanks everyone for joining us yesterday! We had so much fun chatting with our favorite local QBer community. In the meantime, I hope you all keep the conversations going until we do the next one in January. Here are some fun photos from the event: ------------------------------ Tanya Fox Team Lead, Enterprise Sales Quick Base Boston MA 6172502417 ------------------------------11Views1like3CommentsSmall Business Round Table
Welcome to the Small Business Roundtable community thread. Collaborate here with your SMB peers, share best practices, and learn how others are maximizing the power of Quick Base. Tell us a bit more about your own experiences in SMB (there are a few example questions below or you can feel free to talk about what is bringing you to the SMB Roundtable): What is the biggest struggle with implementing new software applications in SMB environments? What types of approaches have you taken to work through these struggles? How do you build resilience into your planning? Also we would love to know a bit more about you, the Roundtable can be a great way to network and get to know other builders in your space (some example questions below): If you could see any musician living or dead in concert who would be it be? Would it be a specific concert at a specific time? What is a song/album that you use to help you get pumped up or focused when taking on a new project? Interested in other ways you can connect with your fellow Quick Base builders, share your feedback with us, get rewards and Quick Base Swag and open up opportunities to share your own experiences and speak about your work? You can join our Heroes Program right here! ------------------------------ Evan Martinez Community Marketing Manager Quick Base ------------------------------16Views1like3Comments
