Defaulted checkbox

Hello all,

This may be a simple solution for some of you but I can't work out how to do it - Hoping someone can help :)
I have two forms on my app for consultants to use when recording the work they have done for clients; one for when it's for a paid client (billable work) and the other where it's work carried out for prospective clients (and not billable at that time - the form has less questions etc). I want a checkbox on the Prospects form to be auto-ticked so that I can highlight all of those submissions in my reporting elsewhere in the app.

What's the best way to have this setup?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, then you'll want to have a Form Rule on your Prospective form that changes the checkbox to checked if it is not.

  • Have you considered having some flag at the Client level that could then be pulled down to the Timecard as a Lookup? You could then capture it as a Snapshot so that the value doesn't change once the Client moves from Prospective to Billable.

Sadly I don't think this will work, Blake. There are occasions when one brand is actually a client yet we might want to fill in the prospect form instead of the paid client form because the work isn't billable for some reason (say if we have done some work to prove why they should renew to be a client for another year or if they used up all their time and we just promised them some free time) - therefore I'd like to make the checkbox on the prospect form the indicator across the app that some unbillable work has been completed.

      Hope that helps explain it.
