Lookup Field Not Pulling Data
I have a table-to-table relationship set up where the names of clients should pull from one report into another where we are entering data for that client. The parent table is the report with the names of clients and the child table is the report where we are entering the data. I am trying to get a lookup field set up to pull the clients name, however the look up field is not generating the actual names, it only generates the number of names there are. I need help, lol. I am not tech-savvy; my boss thinks I am. I've attached a photo; any help is super appreciated.
OK, I gather your situation is that you are starting on the child record and trying to populate the field for the parent. i.e. you're not launching off the parent record to create a child but rather you are starting with the child record and trying to select a parent.
What you should do is to go to the advanced settings for the parent table and part way down that screen there's a place to set the record picker fields. The record Picker fields are the (up to three) fields that you want to offer the user to help them pick records. What has happened is your record picker fields are set to something incorrect so choose up to three fields that better identify the parent.
