Possible to add an 'Other' Option to a conditional dropdown?

Question

I know this isn't a native capability, but sometimes we can trick QuickBase into certain things. I was trying to come up with a slick way to use formula fields so that I can add an 'other' option to my conditional dropdown.

For example, if I had US States as my first selection, then cities as my second, could 'Other' be listed with the cities?

You would have to add 50 more cities called Other. One for each state.

You were down to just the sort on the report used to drive the drop-down list to base it on a formula field that makes sure that the city called Other sorts last.

Well, my example was with states, but my use case has about 300 records that would need to be created. Of course, not too hard to make the 300 records so it is possible, but then I would also need a pipeline to create the other record when new records are created.All of it is not too bad of a solution, but the necessity is minimal and probably doesn't warrant it. I'll add it to the 'maybe ill do this later' list.------------------------------Mike Tamoush------------------------------
