Report with Images Too Large

Question

Good Afternoon,I created a basic inventory system app that allows me to log a few fields (name, part #, location, etc.).&nbsp; One of these fields is a file attachment field for uploading a picture of the item.I am trying to download the report (197 records each with a photo) but I am unable to download or print the report since it is such a large file (1,686,015 KB).&nbsp; Is there a way to use some field to compress the image so that my report is not so large when trying to download as a PDF or print?Thank you,

The thumbnail is only good for viewing small. Any form maker (Native or Juiced) will still use the original file size. I struggled with this for years. Juiced does have a reducer add-on that works great. We used that for about 3 years before I finally hired a coder to make me a custom code page to help solve our issue.

Either way, you will need to use a 3rd party to actually reduce the file sizes.

Have you tried reducing the dimensions of the picture to make a smaller thumbnail size?

I have tried that by going down to 100x100, but I'm afraid it will be too small. Also, I just using the new Document generation feature to accomplish the same goal and it times out. I even tried it on a smaller record set of 61 records with no luck.

You really need two images.&nbsp; &nbsp;A full picture for viewing the record and a thumbnail that is much smaller to put into reports and documents.&nbsp; &nbsp;There are a number of services that can do this for you.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
