Syntax Error
I have the following code on a formula field to highlight a checkbox field if it's false. I copied this code directly from the Quickbase article about it so I cannot figure out why it wouldn't work. ...

Tried that and then I get an error on the second [Send Letter]. If I remove it, it doesn't work when tested.

Qrew LegendBut what field type is this. It must be a rich text field, but if the condition is true, then you have a result being Boolean? So that makes no sense. What do you want the result to be if [Send Letter] is true?

This is a formula-rich text field to get a different field to turn red if it isn't checked. It will work on the formula field when it's on a form, but it won't work in the Send Letter field anywhere. I have a table on the dashboard that has the checkbox field on it and I want that field to turn red if false. I followed the directions word for word on a Quickbase article about it and it's not working.
It would just be normal if true.

I think there may be some confusion here between how Excel works and how QuickBase works.
In Excel you can have what is called conditional formatting, which will color the field. But in Quickbase you cannot do that. So this would be a completely separate field, and it would be a formula fieldnot an entry field. Not an entry field.
because you checkbox field called send letter is a checkbox type field, you cannot have that be the calculated result if a Rich Text field.

But if I understand what you're saying, if I make the Send Letter field a text field, I could do it the way I have it set up now? Just with "no" as the condition instead of false?
