How to stop user(s) requesting permission to create applications billed to the account
We are periodically getting an email from users stating they are requesting permission to create applications billed to the account. Checking in with one of the users, the request to create an app came as a popup on the screen. The popup is exited out (clicking the X), though the user has to click several times to close it. These are not desired requests, yet as the account administrator, we receive emails that the users are requesting it. It seems this is an error with the popup if they are not actually making the request. Is there a way to disable this popup for the users from randomly appearing? I'm not sure yet what this looks like. Hoping it's an easy solution to resolve. Thanks!
Still no way to hide 'New App' button?
Is there still no way to hide the New App button? It's the first button everyone tries to click, so I receive about 10 requests a week to try to create new apps. Has anyone come up with a way to remove this button?? ------------------------------ Michael Tamoush ------------------------------
Deactivation doesn't remove user from Apps?
I've had several people I've needed to deactivate recently who have left the company, but found if when I deactivate, it does not remove them from the individual apps they had access to. So with 1, I went and removed the access to the apps before deactivating. Turns out after removing them from the app, they are no longer listed in the Users w/Access for me to deactivate. Is there any way to deactivate a user and it removes them from all the Apps at the same time?
Possible Side Effects from Delete User
I have 67 Quickbase applications and I am planning on deleting a user in those applications. However, I do not what there to be any "side effects" or anything that may disrupt the normal functioning of my applications. In the past, I know that delete a user will cause "Email Notifications" created by the user to be deactivated. Is there any other side effect that may occur when deleting a user? thank you
Embedding Quickbase into public webpage
Hi, Is there any way to embed a Quckbase report into a publicly accessible webpage? I'm using an app with open public permissions and no app tokens being used, but get a failure to display in the iframe window. Is there a trick to getting this to work, or is this not possible to do? Has anyone tried to create a report link to view files across realms? I can't get it to work, but perhaps that makes sense. I am syncing a table across a realm, and I have multiple child tables with files on the source side. How do you personally do release cycles on your QuickBase realm?
I know QuickBase gives us the ability to make changes on the fly and not have to deal with the normal software release cycle. I'm just wondering how others treat this. I'm curious about the benefits or disadvantages you have seen with different release cycles. Do you do a weekly/monthly release where all of the changes are added at once via a sandbox? Do you make copies of the app and figure out what needs to be done for a change and then replicate it in production on the same day? Do you just work straight in production without worrying about a sandbox or app copy? Maybe even something else? I'm sure there are other options and if you do it differently I'm interested in hearing why.
