Dropdown list with Ratings?
I have a user request to track software skills for team members. They want a list of items, for example software packages, in a drop-down list. But - they also want a rating for each skill, from 1-5. So for example, they don't want to just know that John has experience with "QuickBooks" and "Xero" - they want to say he has "QuickBooks - Level 1 experience," and "Xero - Level 5 experience." And of course, they want to then be able to get a report of all team members with, for example, Xero experience level 3 and above. The list of systems could have 20 or so items, and I'm thinking there must be a better way to implement this than to have 20x5 items in the dropdown. Is it possible to list the 20 software packages, then a separate 1-5 ratings field, and somehow combine them to get a complete list of software experience, with the correct ratings attached, for each person?18Views0likes3CommentsHide Add Button
Hello and happy Friday - I would like to have an add button hidden until a certain record in the app has met it's outcome, and then once that record is considered closed allow the add button to display again letting the user add a new record. Any assistance on how to do this or reference material that walks through the process of setting this up? Many thanks, LB16Views0likes1CommentQR Code to Open form and Add new Record
I have an app with a URL to a form to generate a new record when submitted. I would like to generate a QR code that when I use iPhone camera to open the QR code the user can fill it out and submit. When I create the QR code and use the iPhone camera it opens a different form in the app. Is there a setting in QB that controls the form that opens? The intake process must include related records attached onto the new record. However qb doesnt not let you create child records without first saving the parent. I was thinking maybe to use an embedded subform on a different step in the process, the step format does not save each page as you go so it still with not let me add a related record. What can I do?16Views0likes1CommentHow to have a multi select field based off of a report of a seperate table
I am trying to create a multi select field that looks at a report from another table not just one field. We have to be able to add the field while ADDING a record so adding a child record is not possible.5Views0likes0CommentsQuickbase App
I have a two part question here, either would work: 1.) I built an app with a daily inspection checklist for a variety of different equipment, where I put all equipment checklists in one form and made formulas to only show and require the specified machine’s checklist when selected from an equipment list at the top. It works well on the web based Quickbase, but when I load on the Quickbase app for a phone/tablet it shows all machines and checklists. Is there a workaround? 2.) If not possible my other thought was use different forms for each equipment, but is that possible within one table? I was trying to build different action buttons that each went to a different machine checklist form but was having issues. Any thoughts? Thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated.48Views0likes2CommentsQuickbase App Formulas
I have a "Daily Inspections" form that is mainly for use on the Quickbase app for tablets. It has a dropdown list of equipment, and will display and require the Pass/Fail inspection items for the specified equipment when selected. My issue is that I have for each equipment a "Pass All Checks" checkbox, that when checked is supposed to change all items to "Pass". When it is checked, it is usually only passing the first item and leaving the rest blank, and then have to be manually filled in. A second issue is that a comments box at the bottom is supposed to be required upon any item being marked as "Fail", but that is not happening either. It all seems to work on the desktop version however. Any insight? Thank you.21Views0likes2Comments
