Pipelines automation to change record owner
Good morning, In short, I have created a pipeline that triggers on an event inside 'record 1'. It then creates 'record 2'. 'Record 2' ends up being created/ owned by me, however, I would like to change that to the person who created/ owns 'Record 1'. I am open to all ideas and suggestions. Thank you for your time. Is it possible to utilize Pipelines to build a form, that is keying off of field answers to questions already on that record? So say there are 50 questions, and for each question that is answered 'No' to (radio style button), the 'No' answered questions can be then generated onto a new form, that acts as an audit checklist? My thought was to have the New Checklist form be kicked off by a button, which the Pipeline can be looking at. But can the Pipeline create a form? Or can/will this need to be done through a different manner?29Views0likes5CommentsQuickbooks - Exporting Expenses
Hello, I am using the existing Quickbase channel for our employee credit card reconciliation. We currently have a table which imports data from our credit card banking system, including merchant data. This table gets passed into employee user dashboards where each employee must reconcile their own expenses each week. Once reconciled, these expenses are exported into our Quickbooks expenses. A huge existing pain point for accounting is the fact that they have to manually enter hundreds of merchant names each month, due to the fact that the Quickbase channel in the pipeline has no place to pass the merchant name in for import. Am I missing this, or is this just something that is not possible? If I could solve this, it would alleviate a huge nuisance for our internal accountants.13Views0likes0CommentsTemplate Error
Validation error: Incorrect template "{{a.wo_id}}". ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'wo_id' I have a pretty simple Pipeline set up that looks at a connected field for two fields both text fields (WOID# and Alert#). Then looks at another table, not connected, for matching WOID# and updates the Alert# on that table. They are both text fields, the values clearly match. But I keep getting the above error. Any suggestions?25Views0likes1CommentJournaling
I have a need to 'journal' within a record. Within a record there is a <journal entry> field which always defaults on display to blank (ready for a new journal entry by a user). A user places some text in the <journal entry> field, then clicks save. The system takes the journal entry, stamps it with a date and the users name, and appends it to the <journal> field. Then clears out the entry. The journal field is a read only text field with the latest entry at the top. Much like an email chain, looking like this: Mary Smith on 1/4/2024: Yes John Smith on 1/2/2024: Con you get me the report? I got it working 90% using pipelines. But I have two issues: I click save and the record is not refreshed, so I have to refresh it manually, that is a bad user experience, I'd like some advice on if I can use a pipeline to force a refresh/redraw, and 2), the system enters a blank line after every update. I am using {{CLEAR}} to clear the journal entry field, which works great, but after adding that expression a blank line always appears in the journal. If I remove that expression, the blank line goes away but the journal entry field remains populated. any advice is greatly appreciated.Solved18Views0likes2CommentsDocuSign Retrieve Custom Field Results from Envelope after Completion
I am hoping to find a way in QuickBase pipelines without using Juiced to retrieve a results after a customer signs an envelope in Docusign. I have different custom fields ranging from checkboxes to radio buttons. Alternatively, is there a way to call this information with Docusign API? Or a webhook? Where I can retrieve the listed custom fields? I tried already doing what was suggested in the channel but nothing comes up under document_fields after I lookup and find the Envelope: Any assistance or advice would be so beyond appreciated thank you!52Views0likes2CommentsProblems constructing Headers in pipelines 'make request' channel
I'm trying to send a request to the fedex api for checking package status. I have everything working up to the step where the actual request is being made and it appears the headers are not being constructed properly by the pipeline channel: Here, I'm just using the example, but instead of headers like: X-One:One X-Two:Two I'm getting this weird structure where it's only passing the names and values as arrays? This keeps getting rejected by the fedex api stating that the token is missing. I'm sending the headers like this, per the instructions beneath the headers section, but I get the same malformed result in the output: Has anyone else run into this or knows what the problem is here? I've been stuck on this for hours.Solved44Views0likes2CommentsFire changes in a user field -- use a surrogate field?
I am struggling infinitely with what I feel like aught to be so simple. It may involve pipelines, which I haven't broken into yet. I want to log changes when a field changes (assigned staff member). But first off - you can't save changes in a User field. Second -- I've noticed when you log edits, the field then displays on forms as the entire string of changes..... so I've often thought, if logging is important AND displaying on a report (or filtering to charts) cleanly is needed, then it's probably best to make a surrogate field. So here I am trying to make two fields -- 1) Current Staff Assignment, and 2) Staff Assignment History. The former triggers a change/logged edit in the latter. But I have no idea how to go about doing this. I was going to do it with Form Rules, but for multiple reasons (chiefly, that I'm using multiple forms depending on staff/use), I want this to trigger at a more global level. How can I achieve this?Solved19Views0likes1CommentPipeline outputs unicode JSON instead of a standard JSON string
Hello all, Use case: I'm building an integration with AI models where I send JSON-formatted data for analysis. The JSON-formatting data comes from the Quickbase run report API which outputs table data in standard JSON. So essentially, I'm sending JSON from Quickbase inside a JSON value to an AI model. Issue: While passing the raw JSON to my AI model, Pipeline automatically converts the JSON to Unicode JSON with "u" characters. Example of how it looks in the Pipelines activity log: Is there any way to use Jinja2 or some other method to make sure the JSON is a standard JSON? This will help the AI model better understand the data.40Views0likes1CommentCan an email attachment be saved to Quickbase using a pipeline?
Hi All, I'm setting up a support ticketing system in Quickbase for my company. All of our support requests are sent to a specific email. I want to set up a pipeline to grab the necessary information from an email arrives to create a ticket in Quickbase. One of the items I'm trying to grab is the attachment. Most of these emails are forwarded voicemail files from our phone system. I want to save a copy of the attachment to the ticket record in Quickbase. Is there a way to do this? I'm currently trying to utilize the Microsoft Outlook channel and I'm seeing a query step, but I'm not seeing how to retrieve the actual attachment, just the attachment name.Solved31Views0likes1Comment
