Approval Button redirect to View Form
I used the magic buttons app Approval Button, and it seems to work great! But I noticed that it redirects back to whichever version of the form you were on when you clicked the button - if you click it from the View Form, it takes you back to the View Form version, whereas if you click it from the Edit view, it keeps you in Edit view. I'd like it to redirect to the View view in either case so that the User understands that it has been saved. Anyone know how to do this? Here's the formula: URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&apptoken=APPTOKEN&rid=" &[Record ID#] & "&_fid_139=Approved&_fid_141=" & Now() & "&_fid_140=" & UserToEmail(User()) & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() &"?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl())Solved36Views1like2CommentsList fields based on checkbox
Hi, I need a formula field that will list some Years if the corresponding Year checkbox is checked. I'm not sure if this screenshot size is ok or not - it looks super tiny when pasting it. In the field "Funding Years", if the corresponding Year has a checkbox: First year Ask is checked, then List the First Year in the Funding Years. If ANY combination of those "Year ask" checkboxes are checked, then I want to list that Year in the "funding years". I've tried all the formulas I can try, I keep getting a mismatch of boolean and number errors, or all of the years populate. My formula right now is: var bool one = [First Year Ask] = true; var bool two = [Second Year Ask] = true; var bool three = [Third Year Ask] = true; var bool four = [Fourth Year Ask] = true; If( $one or $two or $three or $four, List(", ", ToText([Year 1]), ToText([Year 2]), ToText([Year 3]),ToText([Year 4]))) I tried putting "or" in there, but it doesn't seem to take it.10Views0likes0CommentsFormat Formula URL field
I have a formula url field that I'd like to show nothing or be blank if fid 6 (Status) = In or if Out show as a red button that says "Clock Out". Below is the current formula url field that I'm trying to modify. var text URL = URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TIME_IN_OUT] & "?act=API_EditRecord" & "&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_6=Out"; var text RefreshPage = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl(); $URL & "&rdr=" & URLEncode($RefreshPage) I've been looking at various posts that use additional variables to set the formatting, but I'm not sure how to incorporate what I've found into the above. If Status = Out then use: var text red = "<a style=\" text-decoration: none; background: #ff0000; border-radius: 5px; color: #fff; display: inline-block; width: 150px; text-align: center; padding: 8px 20px; font: normal 700 14px/1 \"Calibri\", sans-seif; text-shadow: none; \">Clock Out"</a>"; If Status - In then use: var text white = "<a style=\" text-decoration: none; background: #ffffff; border-radius: 5px; color: #000000; display: inline-block; width: 150px; text-align: center; padding: 8px 20px; font: normal 700 14px/1 \"Calibri\", sans-seif; text-shadow: none; \">Clocked Out"</a>";18Views0likes1CommentShow Numeric Formula Field as Duration
I am creating a time tracking application. Need to allow for entering actual hours and for the use of a clock in/out option. Here is the set up: Time Entries - table to track/enter specific work tasks performed for each Project. Time worked can either be entered directly into an Hours Worked (numeric field) or it will calculate Total Time (duration summary field). Time In/Out - table to clock in/out for a specific Time Entry. All in/out entries are summarized into the Total Time field in Time Entries. My Time Time Entries table has a field Hours Billed which displays either the Hours Worked or the Total Time. All these fields are visible on the Time Entries form but since they are of different types, they display differently. Example, if the time entry is for 30 min the: Hours Worked (numeric) displays as 0.50 Total Time (duration) displays as 0:30 Hours Billed (numeric) displays as 0.50 How can I get Hours Worked and Hours Billed to display like Total Time?18Views0likes1CommentFormula help

Hi all. Am trying to create a formula URL field that creates a link that will be used in an external website so users can download an attached PDF. I have marked the actual attachment field so it can be viewed without login. Current Formula : "ourrealm.quickbase.com/db/relevantinfohere/a/r"&[Record ID]&"/e277/v0" But on click, it just reloads our current dashboard. Any help as to where I am going wrong will be appreciated.26Views0likes1CommentI am new to Quickbase
I recently took over an existing Quickbase that involves approvals based on various data points -one table is use. Recently, I have been asked to require approvals for specific users based on two different text-multi select text boxes. It should fill in "approval is required" in the approval status. I have been unable to combine the two fields. I am adding to the existing field formula for the approval like this but I need to make "Sales Leader Required" only when both options are true and keep getting an error. I have a large matrix that needs different approval based on the Renewal Discount and the Renewal ACV. IF( Contains(ToText([Renewal Discount]), "Within Threshold"),"<div style=\"color:red\"> "& "Sales Leader Approval Required" & "<div>", Contains(ToText([Renewal ACV]), "<$100,000"), "<div style=\"color:red\"> "& "Sales Leader Approval Required" & "<div>", "Sales Leader Approval Not Required" )Solved48Views0likes2CommentsAdd Numeric Fields together if a checkbox is checked
Hi, I'm building an app where the project is projecting out 5 years, but the project owner might only ask for funding for 1 or 2 years (to keep costs manageable, but they need to project to 5 years). I made a multi-choice field to select which years is the "current ask". Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 (these are formula checkbox) Then that field is a lookup on the table "resources" where all of the details/math/etc are done. I have checkboxes on the resources table that says Year 1 ask year 2 ask, and so on. I want to calculate the financials for the "current ask". So If Year 2, and Year 3 are the "current ask", then take Year 2 Financials, and Year 3 financials and add them together to give me a total for those years. Here's the formula I've come up with: var text checkbox = (ToText([Year 1 Ask] or [Year 2 Ask] or [Year 3 Ask] or [Year 4 ask])); If($checkbox = "true", Nz([YEAR 1]) + Nz([YEAR 2]) + Nz([YEAR 3]) + Nz([YEAR 4]) + Nz([YEAR 5])) I'm getting a syntax error every which way I turn. What is the correct way to write this?Solved22Views0likes3CommentsIf currency(summary field) is blank formula help
