Adding $ symbol within formula

Question

I have a rich formula field that contains this: ("& [Island DF per]&") which gives me () and I'm trying to figure out how to have it read ($), but I just can't figure out where to put the $.

Here's a screenshot of the formula with the part you suggest in it -- I have two multiple choice fields, a how many and a cost per item. So I would like it to read:

Item: (5) ($10) = $50 but right now it reads:
Item: (5) (10) = $50
