The Jan 21st UI Update is awful. Our company uses many forms that span without having to scroll horizontally. We now have a bunch of forms that are scrolled off the screen.Terrible. Please give us the option to go back the the basic "blue". We did not ask for this update, nor did we want it.

I'm right there with you. I now have multiple reports that are left scrolling, and it freezes cells to the left, so then when you scroll, it hides other cells. this is ridiculous.

I hate this purple color - it looks terrible with my branded applications. Why can't it be a neutral color so that it doesn't look absolutely ridiculous? I have clients and partners who access my apps and it looks completely silly.

What's more important? Quick Base branding or my branding?

  @Sam - I think this minimizes the valid points raised in the community today over some technical issues (i.e. alignment and others), as well as the color issues (default white header, purple clashing with custom branding). This is supposed to be enterprise software, which by its very nature indicates customization. For client-facing applications, this doesn't look great. The rest, I can live with. I'll concede that yes, we'll get accustomed to some of the changes, but some of them seem to not have been made with the end-user in mind, and the huge variety of applications and their uses for your customers. For internal Quick Base and general branding, the purple is fine. But inside our password-protected accounts and applications, we should have the ability to customize, or at minimum, have the option to change to neutral colors like it was before.
  
  You mentioned in another response that you got a large about of feedback that the UI looked outdated - but did people request that purple be the color splashed all over their applications as the resolution to that? Is there any discussion of changing this? If not, I'd like to know sooner rather than later so I can rebrand my applications.

  I'm all about product enhancements and modern updates and have been pleased with many of them lately. However, the updates should have been increased control over simple things like color scheme, as opposed to a font and color that doesn't appeal to the masses. I am wondering if any user-testing was done on this before release?
  
  I feel for Sam as the Product Manager on this one but I do hope that they are able to take into consideration the vast number of use cases that we use QB for and try to not box us in with their branding.

I don't mind the purple, but the font for the field names on forms has a shadow(?) or something that renders them more than a bit fuzzy. Desktop, Chrome, old lady (55) needs to have stuff she can see.

  I think it depends on screen size and resolution when you see the blurriness. The font choice overall was just not good.

  Probably a lot of players here, including screen size and resolution (I am on a 21" monitor), brightness, and maybe even type of monitor? Not zoomed; I hate zooming.
  I see it on other screens in the office as well. And yes, I have tried it both with and without my "computer" glasses.

Also rich text field entry still will expand across the page rather than honoring the field entry width property. This is supposed to be 45 characters. . . (mentioned this before; looks like it is still an issue)

Same here. Needing to side scroll, conflict with a custom header (hiding favorites links). I advised them to use page zooming in Chrome, but I expect more problems to pour in, and even more people to be frustrated.

Breaking the UI for production applications is a ridiculous move.

Love all functionality improvements over the past year but this one.....face palm.

1. This is not a start-up app where things like the above issues should happen. This is the enterprise league.
2. give the user the option for the color. We don't really care about QB branding, we want our own.
3. Why do this? I don't see any significant user improvements to warrant a dramatic change like this
4. Still not responsive! I can see making a major UI change like this if there are benefits, like being mobile friendly or responsive. but still not responsive website like the rest of the world's applications. Why is there such a lack of focus on mobile friendly and/or responsive? The world is going mobile, have you not seen Apple's "what's a computer ad"? This was even one of the major talking points in the Empower17 keynote talk by the futurist.

Elon is going to be on Mars before QB makes a mobile version that is usable.

the color scheme isn't user friendly, is there a way to customize the color scheme?
The new fonts make it so we had to change the dashboard, and now it is too big, is there a way to change that?
Every user in my company has asked how they can change back to the old version because they are having problems using the new UI, is this possible?

  yes, because the font, spacing, and size of the text is changed to a size that doesn't work (at least not on a PC). Then again the mobile app has never been user friendly, so this change aligns with the lack of usability.
