Mailto showing html formatting in Outlook
Hi everyone, I have a formula url with the following code: "mailto:" & [External Email Addresses] & "?subject=" & URLEncode([Email Subject]) & "&body=" & URLEncode([Email Body]) & "&cc=" & URLEncode([Internal Email List]) The Email Body field is Rich Text Field in Quick Base. When I click on the button with sample data I get the results on the two screenshots included. Any ideas on how to prevent the html from showing? ------------------------------ Ivan Weiss ------------------------------25Views0likes5CommentsNotification to EOTI user
Is there a way to send an email notification to an EOTI user? The scenario is an EOTI user submits a request (which includes their email address) and I want to send them a notification with a copy of the information they have submitted. However, when I look at the options in the notification To: field, it doesn't appear that I can select the email field. I also wanted to include buttons in the email that would allow them to submit updated information without actually ever getting into the app (for privacy reasons), which I understand is possible by having the button in the email prepopulated with data from the original record? Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me.Solved54Views0likes2CommentsHow can we email a custom dashboard page as a subscription?
I've found that sometimes users prefer dashboards to multiple emailed reports. How can I email the users a dashboard pageI have created that includes a couple of summary reports, a chart as well asone full reportin an email subscription? Is this possible with native QB? If yes, where is the setting option? I'm only seeing a report drop down in subscriptions. I'm not seeing a similar option to select a page . Thanks in advance for any direction/suggestions.57Views0likes8Commentsemail notification error
Simple user here. Not an expert or well versed in Quickbase, but it's what my office has used in the past so I inherited it. I recently updated the language in an email notification (triggered by a checkbox). The email sends, but is still using the old language, even though when I go check the notification itself in settings, it shows the new language. I have no idea why it won't send the updated custom message. any help is greatly appreciated.55Views0likes1CommentCan I setup a reminder email to remind me on the date, instead of x days before or after?
I have a reminder email notification setup, based on the date in a field called "Remind Me On." This is a date field where the user can specify a date in which he or she wants to be reminded of the task. We chose this path rather than standardizing reminders to be sent X days prior to the due date. This way, if someone wants to be reminded a week before or a day before, they can customize their remind date. In the reminder email template, I have the option to select to be reminded X days before the "Remind Me On" date, or X days after. I attempted to insert a 0 value in that field, and selected "before," hoping that I would get a reminder on the date specified in the field. I did not. The only other solution I can think of is to create a formula field that takes the Remind Me On date and adds 1 day. Then setup the reminder email to send 1 day before that formula date - which would end up being my Remind Me On date. Are there any better solutions? Hello, I am trying to automate an email either by email notifications or a Pipeline based on updating a related field. I have 3 tables: 1. All Flights - Enter any new flight in the schedule - I have a field called "flight verification" that is a multiple choice field allowing to show the flight as "pending" or "final.") - I have another multiple choice field for "Flight Status" with options "Active" or "Flown" 2. Current Flights - Connected to "All Flights" and pulls only "Active" flights 3. Request Log - Where passenger requesting a seat are entered - I have a related field from "Current Flights" so there is a drop down menu that only allows you to select "Active" flights - There is also a related field for the "Flight Verification" I would like to trigger an email that sends the list of passengers entered in the "Request Log" when "Flight Verification" status is changed to "Final." Since this is a related field, this field changes when the "All Flights" table is updated and the subsequent tables are refreshed. Is this possible? I don't think the email notification will work since the field in the "Request Log" table isn't being updated and saved. Is it possible to utilize pipelines? If so, how do I do this to include a table of passenger information from the request log? Thank you!37Views0likes35CommentsSubscription Email Contact
Hello, I'm building an app for another department, which will have some information be sent externally. The subscription emails have on the very bottom. "This is an automated email from a Quickbase application. If you feel that you received this email in error, please contact the application's manager, xxx@xxx.com." Right now, my email address is listed there since I built the application. Is there a way to remove my email address from that? Since I won't be the user of the app, I don't want these external people having my contact. Is there a way to have the subscription email without any contact there? If we can't issue a license to a general email distribution address, then I have a feeling any individual would feel the same as I would. Thank you. ------------------------------ V W ------------------------------31Views0likes1CommentInvoice Routing
Tried a few searches but not quite sure how to describe my desire in just a few words. What I'd like to find out if it is possible would be to build an application for the tracking and routing of invoices. I know I can build tables and pipelines to functionally achieve this but the part I'm not sure how to do is to design the app so that when a user receives an email, indicating they have an invoice to review, to build in the ability for them to indicate somehow in that email their response. We are currently using a SharePoint Power Automate workflow but it seems to run into issues and I am the only one that knows how to investigate and fix those flows. The email provides basic information in the body, includes the original invoice as an attachment and then gives them the option to Approve or Reject from right in the email. For the majority of our invoice approvers they never actually visit our SP site, their interactions are solely through the approval emails they receive. Once they've selected their response the flow continues on to create an "approval page" and then merges that page with the original invoice. Post merge it is forwarded to a specific accountant for payment. I've been trying to migrate our solutions to various QuickBase apps as it has proven easier for non-technical persons to use and manage. Just wondering if a similar set up could be built in QB so that users wouldn't have to log into QB to respond to invoice approval requests. Thanks ------------------------------ Ember ------------------------------24Views0likes1Comment
