Weird characters on an Outlook Exchange Sync connection
I have a Sync table coming in from Outlook. The body field has many weird characters in it. I'm not sure if this forum will accept them, but many emails have a an ? character in place of a carriage return and there are other weird characters too. Any ideas on why or how fix that? ?2Views2likes5CommentsSyncing Multiple Apps
Our company has multiple work groups who have each created their own apps for project management. Is there a way to sync project information from their apps into one single app. Our Directors are wanting a single place to go for project information overview, which could also be used for invoicing purposes. Any ideas?5Views2likes13CommentsGmail refresh errors MessageID
Keep getting this error with a gmail connected table (see below) making it impossible for me to sync emails properly. If I clear the inbox some messages I test will sync then others fail. Seems that some gmails dont have messageID but I don' see how that's possible? I created a filter that checks if there is a number in the message ID but still get the same error, guess the error triggers before the filter is applied (connected table filter I'm referring to). Anyone else have solutions to this issue? Regards Morgan 2018-10-26 03:29 PM There was a problem refreshing the table. Elapsed time was 8 seconds. The error was: Missing required value - Some values for required fields are empty. For the required field "Message ID" there are 2 records that have empty values.2Views2likes3CommentsConnected Table data update workflow question
I've built a customer success app that pulls Client and Contact data from the Main app from Headquarters via connected tables. The question - how do my users signal or flag out of date information within our system that can alert or trigger updates from the Main app. For example,Jane in customer success learns that her main contact is no longer at the company and has been replaced by a new employee. I've set her up so she can update her main contact as "ex-employee" and save that into the system. How can she add a contact that then alerts the Main system and enters it into both systems? I'd like the "Ex-employee" status to send back to the main system as well. Any ideas?1View1like7CommentsGoogle drive sync problem
I'm having major issues with Quickbase trying to sync with Google drive. I have 2 tables that won't sync but 3 other tables in the same app do sync. I have an open case but I've had no resolution. This has happened multiple times and it just can't happen like this any longer. I certainly can't rebuild the tables because they're linked to many others and it would be mildly disastrous. Any ideas why this is happening?6Views1like1CommentHow do I direct the data coming in from a connected table to populate a related field on another?
I auto populate a table in the first application (Table 1) with data from a second application using QuickBase Connection. I also have another table (Table 2) in the first application that is related to Table 1. I need one of the fields that is being auto-populated to go into the related table instead of it's own field so the relationship is established. Any suggestions?5Views1like2CommentsHow can I update a connected field whose column name changes in the connected CSV?
We recently had to make a change to the CSV file that is used in a connected table via Quickbase Sync. This column name change immediately caused the sync to fail on the next interval, which makes sense. I expected there to be a way to go to the connected field in Quickbase (that was now orphaned), and "re-link" it to the newly renamed field in the CSV. However, there only appeared to be the option to delete my orphaned connected field, and add the "new" renamed field. In this situation that wasn't too big of a deal, but if that field had a long list in the "usage" tab (reports, calculated fields, relationships, etc) it would have been very tricky. Is there not a way to re-link a broken connection to a field?11Views1like3Comments
